Sorry if this photo grosses anyone out. I often like to focus on the lighthearted, but sometimes I think it's necessary to show the sad as well as the happy. This photo was taken at 1:35 PM.

What struck me here was the stark contrast between the funny outfit and unhappy demeanor of this holiday vendor. For some reason the sock puppet almost looks as exhausted as he does.

In honor of Thanksgiving, I held out to post this photograph of a tourist family on 34th street arguing over where to go. Positioned perfectly behind them was the words NUTS on the street vendor sign.
I hope you have as much fun with your nuts family as I hope to have for this Thanksgiving. They may be a little crazy, but that's what makes them fun!

Had another post today on DPS about "Getting Close and Personal: 11 Tips for Close-up Candid Street Photography." This is pretty much the bread and butter of the way that I like to approach street photography. Check it out!

I have an article up today on Digital Photography School about 14 Tips to be a Successful Freelance Photographer, so if you are interested in how I work or tips that I've learned over the years you should check it out.
On another note, if you are coming over from DPS, welcome! I hope you enjoy my work and I want to invite you to join me on facebook and twitter. I always enjoy talking to other photographers.
