Doyers St. After Dusk, Chinatown

http://www.jamesmaherphotography.com/images/0000/4091/doyers_st_after_dark_chinatown.jpg

1/60th at F2.8, ISO 1600 (46mm).

The most famous street in Chinatown, once called the "Bloody Angle" because of all of the gang fights and murders that occurred here.  Apparently, there is also a network of tunnels that were created to allow for easy escape.

This is a really beautiful and intersting shot. I love how you give a little bit of knowledge with each photos.

Thanks Cheri, KC - I'm glad you both enjoy the little anecdotes and stories. I really don't do them as often as I should.

My favorite from the shots in the Newsletter. Someone once took me on a tour of those tunnels that go back to the 1800s. Unfortunately it was at a time when I wasn't shooting. Dang.
