Winter on the Upper West Side,
New York City, 2006
This is a favorite of mine because it was taken a block from where I grew up and right next to my elementary school. Looking at these snow covered brownstones makes me feel as if I'm 10 years old and waiting for Christmas.
I remember going outside one day with some friends and starting a snowball fight with kids from the building across the street. After about 10 minutes, some older kids came down and told us that they were going to play with us, but if we threw any snowballs at them they would kick our asses.
We went inside.
