Crusin', Acadia National Park,
Mount Desert Island, 2008
This long exposure photo was taken driving through the main Park Loop Road in Acadia National Park. It is one of the most scenic and smooth drives that I have been on.
I stopped the camera down to f/32 to create a long enough shutter speed to bring out the motion. I think it gives the print the feeling of an impressionist painting.
A side story to this photo: Just before I took this, Sara (who's dad often drives race cars) got stopped by a park ranger for going a 'bit' over the park speed limit.
Luckily for us he said, 'Why don't you slow down and enjoy the view?' and let us on our way.
While the views here are amazing, the roads made it very hard for her to obey the speed limit.
I can only imagine what kind of havoc her father would wreak here.
