This is the beginning of a sunrise on the outskirts of Fira, the main town of Santorini near the port.  A local church is seen on the bottom left.

On this day I left my hotel room in the early morning darkness to find a place to set up my tripod, only to come across a pack of 4 dogs.  There was a mother, a father, an adolescent and a young puppy, and they proceeded to follow me wherever I went.

At the point that I took this photo the parents were lying next to me, their two children about a block's length away and completely out of site.  I got nervous that they would lose each other on my account, but then remembered that they were dogs.

Soon after, I packed up my stuff and walked back towards my hotel, parting with the parents and watching them go off in search of the young ones.
