Lighthouse,
Santorini, Greece, 2005
This is a lighthouse on the southwestern most tip of Santorini.
You can rent a car to get around easily, but I recommend renting an ATV if you are adventurous and careful. Actually I don't. In retrospect it was really dangerous, especially riding around the curvy cliffs and not being able to see the speeding buses coming in the opposite direction.
At one point one of these buses sped around a sharp corner suddenly and took up both lanes, driving me off the road. But only slightly.
From the main town of Fira you can get anywhere by ATV within 30 minutes and the weather is usually perfect for it; hot enough to keep your warm but enough wind to keep you cool.
And definitely don't rent a moped here. I was told some bad stories about them from a local doctor.Links to individual photo landing pages
